This is something that you anticipated in the second and third year of the pandemic,

that the hiring mania that was expressed routinely with gossip about

people being hired immediately, desperate for workers, hiring people who weren't fully qualified

in training them, maybe that's still present, but there is chatter, at least the Wall Street

Journal says, that the employment situation

for high tech, we're not talking about all manufacturing.

High tech is now a matter of having many applications for fewer and fewer jobs.

What's driving that?

Is it just the pendulum swinging between the bosses and labor or something else?

One, in the pandemic, tech overhired, and people coming out of two-week programming boot camps were

offered jobs as programmers or developers. So you had lots of people that entered the field that

may not have been qualified or may not have advanced their career far enough for the jobs

that were offered. Two, you're now starting to see the real and true impact of artificial

intelligence starting to be able to do more work within tech, code reviews, quality control,
