| 0:00.0 | Welcome back everyone. We're here with Coach Jonathan Lee after stage six of single track six. You're all done John. How you feel? |
| 0:06.9 | Oh man. So relieved. Like it's been hanging over my head since 2017 when we came to single track six and it was Nate Chad and I |
| 0:16.0 | And we hyped it up and Nate crashed and broke his top two and was like, I don't want to do this race anymore after stage one |
| 0:21.8 | Chad was like, I don't either. I'm just going to wrap when I feel like it. |
| 0:26.0 | And then I like can cause myself and DNF on the fifth stage and |
| 0:32.1 | Man, I remember some of you that listen to the podcast were like really rude and harsh after that. Um, and so |
| 0:38.6 | And I remember like just a lot of you saying like these clowns can't finish anything and |
| 0:45.2 | Repart of this is very much like a shake of the fist to all of you that were mean |
| 0:50.2 | Uh, and that's the instant. He didn't have to be mean. Could have been supportive. Uh, but it just feels really good to get the monkey off my back. Um, and it was an awesome. |
| 1:00.1 | Like it. Go ahead. Yeah. You didn't just finish. You got top 10 in GC and had a good day. Yeah. |
| 1:06.1 | Seventh today, I will get into that a little bit later and then secured ninth in GC. Um, |
| 1:13.0 | The stage was a lot shorter. It was a it was like 20 my head unit. So we finished up at the Nordic Center and then it was a neutral roll down to town after that. |
| 1:22.8 | And that was just to keep it safe because there was a lot of like, you know, road crossings and stuff. So that was really smart of the organizers. |
| 1:29.5 | Um, but so I finished with like 20 miles on my head unit roughly when we came across the line up there and then uh |
| 1:37.6 | So that's short a lot shorter and it was like not as much climbing and really fast on the gas weaving in and out of trees and rocks roots and rocks all day. So it was like |
| 1:48.6 | But I love that sort of racing where it's not that it's like crazy steep and long, but it's like you always have to be on your toes and you have to be super diligent. That was so much fun. |
| 2:00.5 | I loved it. I loved the roots and the rocks and it was a blast |
| 2:05.1 | Uh, for power we started out the stage and like, uh, I just I was like with the front group and I just kind of zoned out for like five seconds and then suddenly I realized like, oh no, like the group split and half and I missed the move. |
| 2:20.2 | And it was a headwind up a road climb. So I like instantly like tried to get around and got blocked in, tried to get around the other way got blocked in, tried the other way. |
| 2:29.0 | And then finally I found a way through and then I tried to bridge across and burned a pretty big match in the beginning there. Um, if I look at it, so it was |
| 2:39.6 | Did you say what the profile was like you started with the road climb and then |
| 2:43.5 | And then it was just like roll and it was a thousand foot climb for four miles to start, but then after that it was just |
