Week 9 of the Big 12 football season is all wrapped up, and we are here to react and give you the biggest takeaways from every game across the Big 12.

So we'll start off with the game of the day, BYU beating Iowa State 41 to 27 in one of the great

big 12 games of the season. BYU is down two touchdowns in the second quarter. They then

lose L.J. Martin. They're without him. They don't know if they're going to be able to get the guy back.

Then it becomes evident he's not playing the rest of the day. He is the heart and soul of this

offense. And Bear Bachmeier says, I got you, bro. It's all good. And the true freshman quarterback

down a couple scores on the road methodically leads his team back into the game.

Bachmeier did not overreact.

He did not get jittery.

He did not look like a true freshman going up against one of the best defensive coordinators,

not just in the big 12, but in the country in John

Haycock. And then they got the special teams. They got the pick six. And they end up walking out

of Ames with a 41-27 win to stay undefeated. What a moment for Bear Bachmeyer. What a moment for Kalani Sataki.

This was as impressive a game as I've seen this program play since they joined the Big 12

conference. That's how good it was on Saturday. How the game was playing out,

they're off the big rivalry win. Iowa State is coming off a buy,

their home, BYU without its star running back for three quarters of the game,

and you had guys like Parker Kingston and Chase Roberts help lift this team up.
