5:20pm- On Wednesday, George Clooney wrote a scathing opinion piece urging Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race—citing Biden’s poor debate performance and an uninspiring performance at a New York City fundraiser hosted by Clooney earlier this year. According to a news report from Politico, Clooney presented the editorial to former President Barack Obama before its publication in The New York Times. Though Obama did not endorse the editorial’s message, he also did not object to its publication.

5:30pm- Biden Radio Edits: Isabella Ramirez of Politico writes: “A Wisconsin-based talk radio station edited its interview with President Joe Biden at the request of his campaign before it aired last week, broadcaster Civic Media said in a statement Thursday. 5:40pm- Biden’s Gaza Pier Disaster: Dan Lamothe of The Washington Post writes that “the U.S. military has failed to re-anchor its humanitarian pier to Gaza, the Pentagon said Thursday, and soon will ‘cease operations’ on an aid-delivery mission plagued by setbacks from almost the moment President Biden announced it four months ago.” The pier cost an estimated $230 million to construct.
