| 0:48.4 | opinion, and the vice president has the power to overrule her if she wanted to, which has |

| 0:55.0 | It happened in 1975 when then vice president Nelson Rockefeller ignored the advice of |
| 0:59.6 | the parliamentarian as the Senate debated the filibuster rules. |
| 1:02.8 | It happened in 2013 when Democrats eliminated the filibuster to approve presidential |
| 1:07.0 | nominees that were being blocked by Republicans, and it happened in 2017 when Republicans further |
| 1:11.9 | eroded the filibuster to approve Supreme Court nominees. |
| 1:15.8 | Parliamentarians have even been outright removed before. |
| 1:18.4 | In 2001, the Senate was also split 50-50, Republicans were trying to pass, what else, |
