Tonight is the beginning of the Jewish New Year

and the beginning of the Jewish High Holidays

that extend for several weeks and everybody is hoping and praying for a better year

than last year. I'm going to the synagogue to hear one of my favorite rabbis and favorite canters.

And my wife and I are a split religion.

I go to an Orthodox synagogue.

She goes through a Reform synagogue. It doesn't matter because

we couldn't sit together if we went to my synagogue anyway because men and women sit separately.
