Chairman James Comer of the House Oversight Committee

announced several subpoenas on Wednesday for individuals related to

alleged Biden family corruption including some family members. Hunter Biden, the president's brother

James Biden and former Hunter Biden business associate Rob Walker have all been

ordered to appear. The committee had previously subpoenaed records belonging to Hunter and James Biden.

The investigation, which also includes the judiciary and Ways and Means Committees,

had been briefly stalled amid a prolonged speaker fight last month. This comes as

Hunter Biden's attorneys have asked House Speaker Mike Johnson to stop the

investigations being pursued by both House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Myorkis testified before the Senate today

as lawmakers demand explanations regarding the impact

the border crisis is having on cities across the nation.

Over the last fiscal year there have been over 2.4 million encounters near the southern border.

In October alone, around 240,000 people cross the border into the U.S.

During his testimony, Myorkis admitted that the country is experiencing the largest immigration

numbers since World War II. He also said that the current immigration system is

broken, but in spite of that he and his colleagues have cooked up a plan.

Our strategy includes expanded lawful pathways for migration,

strengthened consequences for unlawful entry at the border,

removing a record number of individuals
