and I'll talk about what the polls say about American independence and American patriotism with Carlin Bowman.

Well, this is the weekend when the United States of America is going to be celebrating its 249th birthday. And thanks to modern medicine and our Constitution and whatever else you want to ascribe to it, we remain

healthy, although we might discuss how healthy. And talking about that, how Americans feel about

their country as we go through our current political travails and disputes is

Carlin Bowman.

She's a senior fellow emerita at the American Enterprise Institute and a columnist at Forbes.
