What did me and Tommy Laren talk about?

We talked about the death threats that people gave her.

So a lot of people don't know this, but when Tommy Laren came to the show,

one thing I've always appreciated is any Republican or any conservative

that will come to the Daily Show because I love having discussions with people

I know I don't agree with and they don't agree with me.

I also think that's the best place to challenge your ideas.

Otherwise you get trapped in a bubble where you're just talking to people who agree with you.

I think this, I agree, yeah, yeah!

But I never have to sharpen my ideas unless I meet someone who challenges those ideas.

And so I appreciated that she came to the show the same way I would with any Republican,

like we had presidential candidates who came.

What was weird to me was Tommy Laren came to the show and then she got death threats

from people who claim to be fans of the Daily Show.

And my problem wasn't just the death threats, it's the type of death threats she got.

People were like, you blonde dumb bitch, I hope you die in a ditch and you should go to hell.

I hope you get raped and die, you conservative whore.
