I am joined for the second time by my friend, Bethany Solerter,

and she is on the podcast. We recorded this just yesterday, late at night celebrating some news.

Bethany just found out she's going to be a brand new lecturer here at the University of

Edinburgh, a new college in the Science and Religion program. Boom, shaka, laca, laca. So I said,

oh, that's awesome. Let's celebrate. We've been meaning to record an interview about your new

book. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about the future of religion and science as a

discipline and where it's going and such and then maybe an aside on Lord of the Rings, but mostly

to celebrate Bethany coming to Edinburgh. Anytime your friend gets a full-time,

full-time permanent position. in the academy these days,
