Fresh from a couple of weeks off over Christmas and New Year, Joy.

You're feeling revitalised, ready for another year of nomadic wanderings?

Well, it wasn't fully two weeks because my place of employment has rules about how many people

can be off at once, so maybe 10 days. And it was a bit COVID-y. More my husband than me,

I think because I managed to sneak in a vaccination 12 months ago. I think that helped me out.

Yes. So I think I feel a little bit like I didn't quite have the rest I was planning to, but did have some really lovely times with family. So that's good. And I sneaked in a birthday. So it's all good. Yeah, how about you?

Yeah, it's good, pretty quiet. It's kind of funny in it because like, I don't know, 30 years ago, I'd have judged a Christmas and a new year by how many people I saw and how

late I went to bed. Those nights you go down the pub and it's packed, everybody's there,

you don't get until 5 a.m. Brilliant. Like now it is literally the opposite of that. I want to see

as few people as possible and ideally be in bed by about 930, 10. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah, I tend to, I think I evaluate it a bit on the kind of films I've watched and the food I've eaten these days.

Yeah, that's good. I can definitely relate to that.

I'm tempted to ask if you made any New Year's resolutions, but I suspect you may say something about resenting the pressure of having to make commitments on certain days of the year

and how you like things to organically and gently emerge and unfold.

Yeah, I don't hold much resentment about it.

I just sort of watch it float by, but the rest is true.

So absolutely meaningless to me, the whole resolutions thing.

But I think if I remember rightly, you quite like it.
