We're kicking the show off with some listener drama,

and it's actually a dad who is emailing for his daughter.

She has this dream to have a career in New York City,

and she's going to do interviews, but her boyfriend said,

if she's going, she's coming back to an empty house because they live in California.

So the question is, you're with a guy, you have a dream,

you want to go out to New York City and pursue that dream.

He lives in California, and he actually says to you,

hey, if you do this, then you're coming back to an empty house. I mean, that is

talk about dramatic, for one. I understand if you want her to stay in California, but I think

that might be a little harsh way of going about it. A little bit. Yeah. All right. So the email reads, hey, Bert Show, long time listener here.

I'm emailing you in hopes that you and your listeners can help me answer my daughter's

questions.

She's been dating this guy for over six years.

They live in San Francisco.

And for their age, they're pretty successful.

However, her dream has been to live and work in New York

City since she was a teenager. She's asked him to move there and try it out for a year, and if they don't

like it, they can move back. Finding a job is not an issue. He works remotely, but he refuses because
