A big story here, which developing just came out just before we came on the air here,

is Shohei Otani has a ulnar collateral ligament injury to his elbow,

which is code for Tommy John surgery.

Otani left the game in Anaheim against the Reds.

He did not have much velocity in that start.

He left early in the game, and they've been nursing Otani along.

The Angels have, and now they're going to shut him

down for the year. If he does need Tommy John surgery, that is going to cost him $300 million

minimum. The talk was he was going to get $600 million in free agency Otani, but it sounds
