Welcome to Storyworthy. My name is Christine Blackburn, and I'm here with Hanasest Finney, you're coming to you from the Self-Realization Fellowship in Malibu, California. We're not coming from that stupid Zen place that you were talking about when we're off the air. I don't know what you're crazy. You're just making stuff, huh? First of all, the Self- Realization Fellowship, I don't think that's Malibu. That's just like the end of sunset, isn't it? Oh, that one, right. Isn't it the Palisades?

I was mixing it up with the ones one like the end of sunset, isn't it?

Oh, that one, right. I was mixing up at the one at the end of sunset Boulevard there. Yes, this is, well, they're all over the place. They're in the, they're in the valley. In Hollywood. They're in Hollywood. You know, this entire town is about self-realization, which is a code word for self-involvement, self-importance, and self-centeredness.

Trying to be what somebody else wants you to be. This entire town is about self-realization, which is a code word for self-involvement, self-importance, and self-centeredness.

Trying to be what somebody else wants you to be. Or whatever they're going to pay you for.

They're desperately hoping that somebody will approve of you.

The entire city filled with people waiting for approval.

Actually, I will say that the self-realization fellowships are really beautiful places.

If you guys haven't heard of them

before, basically they're places you go on Sundays or any other day, I guess, and they represent

many religions, maybe eight or ten religions. So there's not only a Buddhist temple, but there's a

Jewish temple and there's a Christian church, and they're all on the same property.

So you could go there to visit, walk around the ground, stroll along like the green lakes, because the lakes are very green.

I don't know what that is.

And that would be Jesus.

And there could be like seven or eight different weddings going on at the same time in all different all different cultures.

This is the kind of thing that people in other parts of the country hate where we like pick and choose. We're like, well, we'll have a little Buddhism and we'll have it. It's like fusion cuisine where you have like the barbecue chicken pizza. I don't mind that. People are like, that's not royal pizza. I don't know why they talk like that. You guys, tonight we're talking about the best of religion.
