Summary

Today’s Best of Features:

(00:00-21:17) – Indiana Fever television play-by-play broadcaster, Pat Boylan, joins Query & Company to recap an emotional comeback victory for the team yesterday against the Connecticut Sun, shares what we know about Sophie Cunningham’s knee injury right now, evaluates how many different versions of the team he has seen this year, and weighs in on a discussion Jake had last week with Eddie on the average sports consumer having multiple networks and apps to try and find games on because he views it as a positive for the WNBA to be on so many different platforms.

(21:17-38:38) – Eddie White joins Jake Query on the program to share what he thought about the LIV Golf Tournament at Chatham Hills this weekend. He admits that he loved how they tied the Indianapolis 500 into it with Jon Rahm celebrating with a bottle of milk, explains how the shotgun start keeps people engaged and entertained the entire time people are golfing, is glad that they used Indianapolis on all the promotion instead of Westfield, and is fascinated to see if LIV poaches any golfers from the PGA with the season ending this weekend for those golfers..

(38:38-1:03:57) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 kicks off the final hour of the program by reacting to the three audio clips that Jake played earlier in the show with his opinion on what was said by Carlie Irsay-Gordon and Shane Steichen. Mike also evaluates some players that stood out in the second preseason game, admits he wants the Colts to start Anthony Richardson so they know what they got in him, and touches on some of the training camp superstars he remembers from all his years covering the Colts.

Joining us now to talk about that.

Pat, we will, Sophie Cunningham is having an MRI today as I

0:23.1

understand it. Do we know when we may have more clarity on that? Yeah, unfortunately, no,

0:29.9

the Pever will have fortunately a couple of practices. They haven't had many lately here coming up in

0:36.1

the week. So my hope is maybe middle,

0:38.3

later of the week. Stephanie White will have an update. But as of now, you know, I think we'll just

0:43.4

have to wait and see the results of that MRI and what we hear in the coming days. Okay. Let's get

0:49.0

to this in terms of, before we go into like the, I guess the doom and gloom of yet another injury,

0:54.9

and it has been a franchise that appears to be snake bitten.

0:57.9

But the good of yesterday, you know, the bad news, you get down to a team in Connecticut that

1:03.7

you've had a lot of success with and that has struggled this year.

1:06.6

But the comeback that they had, that was facilitated or done in what way,

1:12.6

aside from the heroics of Kelsey Mitchell, who was just spectacular?

1:16.5

Yeah, I mean, it wasn't just Kelsey Mitchell.

1:19.1

That would not be, you know, giving enough credit to numerous other players,

1:23.2

Elie Bost and Odyssey Sims, who both played well.

1:25.4

But this was, you know, in my opinion, largely

1:28.1

Kelsey Mitchell having a heroic put the team on her back type moment. Now, it was certainly a team
