Talking about the nationals firing both Mike Rizzo, their GM, and Davy Martinez, the manager.

Of course, they won a World Series in 2019, but since then, the nationals have had the second worst record in all of Major League

Baseball. This year, there are only two teams worse than them. So they're let go. Is it the right

move? And is it the right time? They've got a draft coming up in a week. They have the number one

pick. So now it's their assistant GM who takes over. Let's go back to the phones.

All right. Let me see here. Let's go to Don in Ashburn. Don. What's up, man? Go with the

jockeys. Hey, what's up, fellas? Are you, buddy? Yeah, I think right move, right time.

Because I think that probably, you know, letting Rizzo go, especially

at this time, is probably an indictment on him in terms of talent that they probably didn't

want him making the selection.

I don't know that I necessarily agree with Rizzo so much being let go, but you've got to spread

it out amongst all of it, the ownership with being the bulk of the problem and not willing

to spend the money.

But, you know, Davies win percentage is not fantastic.

Rizzo, I guess, I think he's been there, what, 16 years?

We've got, you know, one appearance in the World Series and the win.

And we grinded that thing out, right?

I think outside of the four-game sweep of the Cardinals, it was a grind to get that World Series.
