We are sitting back in our beautiful, lush, little studios about to talk to a superstar,

an international superstar in my mind, because he's Canadian and he's American and he's

international geniuses. Do you have dual citizenship, Alan Thick?

I don't. I'm what they call a resident alien, which means sort of like a Martian with a house.

Star of growing pains and my favorite show you ever did because I was a night owl as a kid

watching Thick as a Night was a treat for me. Wow, you're the guy. I was the one now.

You're the guy who watched that show. You know what other talk show I used to watch and think

was like something that I could watch all the time was Rick D's head into the night with Rick D's.

Yeah. And that was, yours was a hundred times better, but I think the thing that was detrimental

to your career as a talk show host was that they kept calling you the Canadian Carson.

Well, also the fact that I did a pretty lousy job at that. Yeah, that didn't help.
