Brooke wasn’t sure if she would be accepted in country music as a gay woman so she kept it a secret for years. She developed serious stomach ulcers and was withering away from anxiety and stress. Her doctor said if she didn’t deal with what was plaguing her mind, her body may fail her. That moment Brooke decided to be honest. She wrote a new EP, shot stunning sexy music videos with her girlfriend (now fiancé) and stepped into her truth. Country music and the world has received her with open arms. She just sang Trisha Yearwood’s hit “Shes in love with the boy” with Trisha on the Opry but they changed the lyrics to “she’s in love with the girl.” Brooke is a beacon of light showing the way of how to unapologetically live the life your heart desires.
