Ford has reported that 40 to 45,000 of its vehicles are waiting on parts, according to the Wall Street

Journal. And 2023 was supposed to be the runway moment for electric vehicles, but EV makers

are facing computer chip shortages.

That's leading some analysts to predict a major profit downturn across the industry.
