Hello, Artie here, and welcome to something new we're trying out, which is our roundup of some of our favorite episodes from the last year, 2023.

So over the holidays, and as this year comes to a close, we're releasing a Best of 2023 series.

This is by no means objective and making plenty of tough decisions to leave a few favorites out,

but also featuring some newly unlocked patron episodes that people have been asking for

for a while. So we'll be releasing one every weekday, and we'll be back with the first

episode of the new year on January 8th. In the meantime, we want to say thank you to all of our patrons.

in the new year. Before the pandemic happened, we had clear evidence that yes, masks in health care

settings prevent respiratory transmission. That is something that we know. That is established.

That already exists as a fact. The question, is something that we know. That is established that already exists as a fact.

The question, the thing that we didn't know before the pandemic was do mask mandates work? Do

masks work at scale in the community? And now we know mandates definitely work. And we still don't

necessarily know too much about how does it work when individual people

make individual voices. And yet for some reason, that's where we seem to have landed as

what we're going to do. The one thing that we actually hadn't gotten answered. Welcome to the Deaf Panel.
