Yeah, today's QOD is you don't have to be perfect to believe in somebody here we go

Welcome back to the quote of the day show I'm your host Sean Crox and a Sean Crox and

calm. We are wrapping up our best of 2022 week with Mr Ed Mylett and I love this talk for two

reasons. Number one, he's talking about young people really loving and caring for and

believing in our young people and telling them that we believe in them because I have to imagine

it is harder than ever to be a young person. There's a lot of comparison going on, there's a lot

of social media stuff going on, there's bullying going on, you do something wrong, everybody knows

about it immediately stuff going on like I could not imagine it sounds horrible and you know

they need us to lean on not only during the bad times but also the good times as well.

Number two is I love this thing he talks about called compound pounding and it reminds me of

my philosophy on life which is little by little it will become a lot. You got to keep on swinging

that bat over and over and over and over again and eventually swing after swing you get the candy

and my let's coming up. I believe you were born to do something great with the life I think I

said that in the beginning. And I think there's some big ways you're going to do it and I think

there's little ways that seem small that have ripple effects. My dad lived a great life. He was

both happy and successful because he helped people but they my dad got sober. He came back and got

me a job to change my life. He said I was living in his house I was unemployed that's how my business

career started because I got you a job it's at this place I said what is it he goes you don't get

the pick dude you're eating out of my fridge get your butt down there and I go down there and it's

an orphanage but keenly home for boys I end up at cottage eight all my boys in that cottage were

words of the court their parents were either dead incarcerated or it actually molested my boys

eight to 10 year old boys and when I walked in the first day they all turned and looked at me
