It's an early Tuesday morning, and last night I sat back. I popped my popcorn, and I did what I do.

I watched a draft because I love drafts. I love drafts in every single sport. I was excited. I couldn't wait.

I watched a bunch of the – I am the one. I watched a bunch of the WMBA draft. And all I kept

thinking last night as I was watching the draft is why is it that every other sport simply can't sell hope

the way the NFL does. It's Buck and Fitz taking over this morning for two pros in a cup of show again.

He's Buck rising. I'm Jason Fitz. Buck. You know how much I love the NFL draft. I will say again for a new audience in case they don't know this about me, it is my favorite sporting event of the year. It's my favorite event to cover. It's my favorite event to be a part of. I think going to it is more fun than going to the Super Bowl. The fans are absolutely electric.

The experience is electric.

Everybody at the draft is ready to partay.

And it's not just because my favorite team this year holds first overall pick.

I'm like this every year.

In fact, my team sucks at the draft.

And I still, the Raiders, I still go every single year.

I remember the house I was sitting

in where I was sitting when Darius Haywood Bay was drafted. I remember the Jamarcus Russell

draft. I remember watching the reactions to Sebastian Janikowski being draft. My favorite team

sucks at the draft and I still, every year, come in and say, oh my God, can't wait, it's the draft. And I'm sitting there last night. I sit down, I get ready to watch the WMBA draft. I'm watching it. And the whole time I'm thinking, man, why is it that there are smaller rosters in the W and in the NBA? There are smaller rosters. It should be more, you should be more capable of making immediate impact to turn around. Yet whether we're talking about the NBA draft last year of Cooper Flagg, which, you know, by the way, what did that do for the Mavs? He had an incredible season this year. The Mavs still suck, right? Like, there was no magical turnaround. I'm watching the W last night thinking, I don't know if this is going to result in a magical turnaround,

but I do know this.
