I don't even know how to process this, because the two people I trusted the most completely betrayed me, and one of them is standing here acting like I should be happy for her. Let me explain. But at least I had my best friend who we will call Emily. She was furious at him. Called him a narcissistic

jerk, swore she'd never even look in his direction again, and she was the one who told me I deserve

so much better. Well, fast forward to last week, and Emily started acting off. She was distant and

she was canceling plans. She was taking forever to text back, and when she did, she was really dry.

I figured maybe she was stressed or dating someone new, but something in my gut told me that

she was hiding something. But then, a mutual friend casually mentioned how she saw her at a bar with my ex, and it was just the two of them together. And at that point, my stomach dropped. So I texted Emily immediately. I said to her, were you with my ex the other night? It took her hours to reply. But then she hit me with, yeah, I ran into him. It was totally random. We just caught up for a second. And I'm thinking to myself, that is BS. At this point, I knew something was up. So I decided to do some digging. And that's when I found out the real story. And of course, not from Emily, but from someone else. Apparently, she had been seeing him for weeks. It wasn't some random run-in. She had been sneaking around sleeping with the same guy who destroyed me while pretending to be my best friend. I was shaking with rage when I confronted her, and I didn't even give her time to weasel her way out of it. I just looked her dead in the eye and I said, how long have you been sleeping with my ex? When I said this, her face went pale. At first,

she tried to fake innocence and act like, what are you talking about? So, I told her everything that I knew. She then opened and closed her mouth like a fish, and then finally let out a sigh and said, I was going to tell you. And it's like, oh, you were going to tell me, were you? Like when? After the honeymoon phase, after you got engaged, or hey, maybe when you needed a bridesmaid.

changed. And when she said that, I almost started laughing. Changed? The guy who lied to my face

every day for months? The same guy who swore he was faithful while texting other girls in my bed?

That guy changed? I then asked her if she actually even cared about me, about how she held me while I cried over him, about how she ranted about how disgusting he was, and how she swore she would never forgive him either. But you know what she said to me? Well, I do care about you, but people make mistakes. At that point, I couldn't even look at her and I decided to

walk out. And now she's blowing up my phone apologizing, saying that she never meant to hurt me and that she didn't plan on this to happen and that love is complicated. But you know what? No, lust is complicated. Betrayal is complicated. This is just disgusting. I don't think I can even look at her the same way again, but we've been friends since we were in preschool. This really hurts so much that I don't know how I can go on or if I can even forgive her. So seriously, how do I get the picture of them together out of my mind? Because right now I don't know what to do. Wow, this is unbelievable. Here's the thing. I don't think anyone could honestly expect their ex to never get with anybody else, but I think you can expect that the person who helped you get through that disaster would then go behind your back and start sleeping with the guy who ruined your life. Like, seriously, that is so messed up, it's not even funny. That is so toxic and such a massive act of betrayal, I honestly would have a hard time ever

trusting them again. And that really is the biggest thing you can take out of this. This lady is not

loyal, she is not really your friend, and she is just happy to go behind your back, find this guy,

and somehow get with him without you knowing about it. And this is all despite the fact that

she knew exactly how he treated you. And this wasn't

something that happened long ago. This literally was a year ago. So I don't know about you, but if my friend was like, yeah, this one girl ruined my life, I would it then turn around a year later and be like, okay, let's start dating. It's like, no, I would not do that. I would avoid her like the plague. I would never come back. So yes, you have
