I'm confident with artistic expression because my only goal is to make something that I like,

and I know that I can keep working on it until I like it.

So in some ways, there's no pressure because the goal is to make the thing that I like.

I know what I like.

If I don't like it, I keep working.

And eventually we get to a place where we like it.

Yeah.

Do you ever face the inner critic of,

well, what if other people don't like this?

No, I don't consider them at all.

Really?

Yeah.

Something I say in the book is that the audience comes last.

And I believe that.

I'm not making it for them.

I'm making it for me.

And it turns out that when you make something truly for yourself, you're doing the best thing you possibly can for the audience.

So much of why, um, if you go to the movie, so many big movies just not good.

It's because they're, they're not being made by a person who cares about it.

They're being made by people who are trying to make something that they think someone else is going to like.

And that's not how art works.

Art doesn't, that's something else.
