0:10.7

What is up, y'all?

So happy it's another weekend and I'm going to be hanging out with y'all right here.

This is Best Bits, Just the Bits, but part one is personally my favorite part of getting

0:20.4

to do this podcast. I get to bring on a show member and talk to him about whatever I want to talk to him about

0:24.8

in, you know, some guidelines, but things that I come up with. This weekend I talked to Amy and I

0:29.5

really hope you go listen to it because not only did we discuss the craziest thing that I've

0:34.9

seen while driving, and this tops the list of pretty much any story I've ever heard.

0:39.8

We also talked about our stupidest accomplishments that we've had recently.

0:43.7

And, you know, I did get a little vulnerable about my dating life and something that I have

0:47.8

had to learn.

0:49.2

And it's not been easy for me.

0:51.0

I'll just say that.

0:52.2

And of course, some fun things with taking text messages

0:55.9

out of context. That's all I'm going to say. Yeah, I'll leave that right there. But until then,

1:00.1

let's get started. I'm so excited to bring y'all some of the biggest segments from the week.

1:05.4

Number seven. If you win the Super Bowl, each player's paid $157 as the winner. Wow. If you lose the Super Bowl, you're paid $82,000. That's still good. It's still good, but I'm saying you want to win the Super Bowl. Yeah. That's $150,000. That's the incentive. So even if you barely play? If you're on the team, yeah. If you're one of the people who are on the roster, you get paid. Because you've got to stay ready. Yeah, and if you stay ready, you never got to get ready. That's right. That's right. So number one, number two, a lot of different factors when it comes to buying a commercial for the Super Bowl. This average price for 30 seconds is $7 million. For this year, yeah. And let's not be the ones that come on to go, man, the commercial sucked. Commercials haven't really been a thing for seven, eight years. They do try to put better commercials on. But now we're in the land of everything's funny everywhere all the time. Things are compelling all the time. TikTok, other commercials are funny, viral campaigns. That it's just, it's not like they're going to hold off in June. We got this great idea. It's going to go viral. Hold up for the Super Bowl. No, they do it then. They do new stuff on the Super Bowl and the commercials are fun. Sometimes they're like, wow, it's funny to see this celebrity. But let's not be the show that comes on and goes to commercials suck. It's just not that environment anymore. But they do suck. They're not as good. They're actually better,

2:22.3

but everything else around it all year long is better, which makes it seem not as good. Come on,

2:26.5

dude, bud wiser, bad, wise. That's just you holding on to nostalgia, boys. Wasah!

2:51.0

Yeah, that's pretty good. The NFL doesn't pay bands or artists for performing at the halftime show. None. So you do the show, you don't get paid. The artists aren't making a dime, but they do at least get their expenses and production costs covered. Oh, that's good. But they don't make anything. It's all just for promotion. So they do it. The players in the Super Bowl get fancy cars to drive week of the game. That's cool. Every player on both teams in the Super Bowl gets a very fancy loaner to drive around all week. Wow. That's a lot of loaners. You're talking about the 53-man rosters Each. It's 106 cars plus coaches. Yeah.

3:09.8

Like how many of those exotic dealerships are there? And there are no cars on any lot there?
