Goliver is here with us as always from the Washington Post Ben what an incredibly

crazy night in the NBA. Nick it's a pleasure to meet your

acquaintance as they say I wish it was under better circumstances.

You know, tonight everything just unraveled and in a way that we've never really seen in the

NBA previously this afternoon, the NBA's board of governors met and they were

discussing possible approaches to the coronavirus. One idea was to play the

games without any fans in the stadiums. One idea was to postpone or suspend the season

for a time period.

They did not come to a resolution.

They had decided, hey, you know what,

we're going to make our decision on Thursday.

And instead, the decision was made for them.

Later Wednesday night in Oklahoma City it became a

Bear, Utah Jazz Center had tested positive preliminarily for the coronavirus. Now he had been

battling a flu or some other illness in the days beforehand and they got that

positive result just before tip-off. That led to kind of a scramble at the arena they wound up

you know postponing or canceling that game just before tip-off they sent the

fans home but players from both teams remain in the locker room for hours
