cut this is dermatologist taking care of things. I'm fine. I want to start with a pull.

And this is a poll for our listeners, but I want you guys to take it before we go into our pause.

So just three questions that kind of help dial you into how you are aware of your circumstances right now.

So here's my poll.

When I look at the world, things seem pretty stable and increasingly stable, or when I look at the

world, things seem really unstable and increasingly unstable.

So just think about that for a minute. How do you how do you answer that? Second question. Society and culture seem to be

embracing genuine goodness and holiness.

Or society and culture as I perceive it around me

seem to be spiraling into darker and darker things.

Third question, staying close to God

comes pretty easily these days and without a lot of effort.

Or staying close to God is requiring more and more effort with mixed results. Okay, so third question.

And with that, let's go into our pause before I talk to Alex and Alan about that. Because Jesus, it's true. We live in a world that feels like it's not friendly to the soul.

And the reason we pause every week,

and many of us practice pausing through the week

is to just release all that.

We release everything and everyone to you,

just as a moment of sanity, a moment of unburdening the soul in order to receive the love and the life of God.
