And today we're talking about the queer language of the Philippines, known as Swadspeak or Becky.

Before we begin, I'd like to acknowledge the Warrondry Warrior-ung people as the traditional

owners of the land on which this podcast is recorded, and pay my respect to their elders

past and present.

They're the custodians of an oral tradition far older than this podcast.

This episode will include discussions of historic and modern queer phobia,

discussions and use of terms for queer people which are considered derogatory in some contexts,

and some discussions of sex.
