Someone asked me the following question.

How amid all the pressures today on kids and on parents can we inspire our children to become, you know, sources

of pride to us? And it's a good question because the pressures are enormous.

There is, of course, the pressures on family, on community, both of which are in real trouble.

And the sheer pressures of bombardment of information.

And, you know, we have so much that nowadays we have,

and our kids even more than us, have very short attention spans.

I kind of imagine once that if the giving of the Torah took place at Sinai now, how would

it figure? God sums up Moses and says, Moses, I'm going to give you the Torah, it's going

to take 40 days and 40 nights. And Moses says, well, the Bono Shalohom, Almighty God, you know,

do you think you could get it down to 140 characters?

And that's kind of the extent of our attention span these days,

and tweaked a piece of social media, and how, in all these pressures, do we inspire our children?

Now, listen, I'm not going to give you

marry someone who's a great parent which is what I did but the truth is I want to

give you very very simply 13 principles they're all simple they're all
