Hey guys, it's Paul Hastings here, the host of Compelled, and this is just a special behind-the-scenes update on the show and where we're at.

This is not exactly scripted. I've got a few notes of things I want to talk about, but basically this is just kind of a stream of consciousness telling you about what's going on with a show. I thought I would just do this. Maybe, I don't know, maybe I'll make it

an annual tradition. Maybe you can tell me if you like this or not. But let me just kind of

tell you what we did last year and then what we're doing this year. So last year, 24, we released

20 brand new stories. And if you've already listened to those stories, awesome. If you haven't

listened to those stories, let me just tell you,

here's the shows that we released last year. Okay, so we started out with a story about Hayden Jernigan.

He was this kid who grew up in a home marked by chaos, and he wasn't sure who loved him,

who wanted him, all that kind of thing. And he pursued everything that he thought would bring him happiness until one day he had this crazy encounter with the real God.

Then the next episode we dropped was Frank Annette Loria.

Frank was the self-righteous good guy who thought he could earn God's favor by following the rules.

Annette, on the other hand, didn't even know if there were rules in the first place that God even cared about,

and instead she just indulged in this crazy hedonistic lifestyle

but really both of them had to find God to be whoever they thought he was they were both the

internal idols of their own selves and eventually they would find out that God was entirely different

then the next episode we dropped was James Omandi and his father was a leper his mom was a cripple misery

destitution starvation all of those things were a fact of life for this poor kid in Kenya

and then God intervened his life we followed that with a story from Jerry Dugan Jerry's

life was a clash between spiritual curiosity ambivalence skepticism, but eventually he faced the prospect

of dying on a battlefield in Iraq. And as you know, they say that there are no atheists in foxholes,

and that was true for him as well. The next story we released was with Courtney Bruchetta. Courtney

lived in this trap of addiction and secrecy. She wrestled daily with pornography
