Hello and welcome to True Crime Daily's My Favorite Case. Everyone in the world of True Crime has

a story to tell about a case that they worked. Some of them are high profile. Some of these cases

you've never heard of, but they're all fascinating in their own way. Well, today's case is

really high profile. And it is one that launch Dr. Judy Ho's career in a different direction,

which is just fascinating. Dr. Judy Ho is triple-board certified as a clinical and forensic

neuro-psychologist. She's a friend of the show, a regular contributor. Judy, welcome back.

Hi, Anna. So good to be here with you to talk about this interesting case. And I love these

series that you're doing about my favorite case where everybody can kind of bring their perspective

to something like you said, sometimes very, very famous. The times really obscure, but always,

always interesting. Yeah. And I love the fact that you all, the guests,

choose the topic. You all say, this is the case I want to talk about. So it makes it really fun

for me because I get to be more of the listener and the viewer and less of the host and interviewer,

even though, of course, I'll have some questions for you. So you have chosen the Judy

Areas Murder Trial that goes back to 2013. I'm just going to give everyone just a little headline

of summary and then you're going to dive right in. And I found this written on Parade magazine.

And I want to read from it because I think it's actually one of the best summaries of the case.

Judy Areas is perhaps one of the most notorious women in contemporary true crime. She smiled

in her mugshot. She sang, oh, holy night while in police custody and was convicted of first
