Julie, let's start with that. Why should parents know their kids' phone pass codes?

Because if something unfortunately horrible happens, you know, there's some sort of emergency

or your child goes missing without their phone or some sort of tragic thing happens, you will not be able to

get into their phone ever if you don't have their passcode. And that phone can hold a lot of

clues to what might be going on with a child. I recently interviewed several families whose teens

sadly ended their lives after being targeted in sex-stortion schemes.

And in these cases, these parents were able to access their kids' phones, but they didn't know what was going on in the moment or beforehand.
