Matthew chapter 27 and I want to read from beginning in verse 57 of Matthew chapter 27.

Now, when evening had come, there was a rich man from Aramathia named Joseph who

himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to pilot and asked for the

body of Jesus. Then pilot commanded the body be given to him. That's remarkable.

When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in clean linen cloth. He laid it in his new

tomb which he had huned out of the rock. He rolled a large stone against the door of the

tomb and departed. This is precious to me and Mary Magdalene was there and the other Mary,

as reference to the Mary the Mother of Jesus, sitting opposite the tomb. I want to talk to you

as we are concluding this series on the exchange today about this remarkable man who

was mentioned in all four of the gospels. He lived in a little obscure village called

Aramathia which is about 20 miles from Jerusalem and yet his contribution to the

kingdom of God is so incredible again that every writer of the gospel, every new test of

the four gospels, they included the story of Joseph of Aramathia. The Bible tells us a few

facts about him. Number one, it says in verse 57, he was a rich man. He was wealthy. He was blessed,

we would say. He had tremendous resources. Then the Bible says in the same verse that he became a

disciple of Jesus. So you can be wealthy and you can be a Christian. You can be wealthy and be
