The theme of our discussion today is, as always, hooked into the theme of the previous

And as I understand it, that issue has just this week reached bookstores across America, so

The theme of that issue is Italy before Rome, in which we looked at the Italian peninsula before it was dominated by the Roman Empire.

It's really quite a complicated story which begins in this issue with an overview of the different peoples competing for power.
