You know, there are lots of questions that come up related to where life began and how

human life developed on planet Earth. Today, in Genesis chapter 1, as we continue our series

called God's story, we're going to learn about a time before human history, what God was doing during

that period of time. Welcome to the morning mindset. We are here to get our minds aligned with the

truth of God's word for this day. Before we do, though, I want to thank you for listening wherever

1 verses 1 and 2, I'm going to invite you to pray with me for the Lord's guidance and understanding

what he has to show us today. Lord God, we ask you to be our guide and our teacher, enable us to

hear in the words of Scripture exactly what you

mean, and to be able to apply it rightly in our own thinking and in our own hearts, we ask

in Jesus' name. Amen. Okay, friends, returning to Genesis chapter 1, verses 1 through 2,

here's how it reads, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was without form and void,

and darkness was over the face of the deep,

and the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Now, friends, you might get a feeling as you hear this or as you read this of this,

this shapeless sort of a mass.

You see, and that is what's being described here.

It says God created the heavens and the earth doesn't tell us exactly how that came about
