Chef Chris from Urban Farmer, Denver, a Farmer Table restaurant in Denver, and the owner of

Lost Creek Micro Farm.

So yesterday, Chef Chris teased a little bit about what's going on on the rooftop of the

restaurant and that would be Beehives.

He's keeping bees up there and he's actually going through the

master beekeeper program and so Chris I would love to know if let's say you know

I'm a I've kept bees as an amateur before or maybe I've taken a class or something like that and I really got hooked and I want to go down this journey

It would be cool to hear what the process is first and then kind of how it's been for you

Okay Well the process is is first and then kind of how it's been for you. Okay.

Well, the process is googling your state or county

and looking up the master beekeeping program.

Most states have a certification process,

and I've luckily been in Oregon and now Colorado

that both have it.

So that's the important part of the program.

And, you know, honestly, the way I got started into it was, you know, I was at the

Urban Farmer which is the original one in Portland, Oregon. There's 16 floors

there or I built a rooftop garden of 10 beds and wanted to put bees up there.

And I wanted to do it just because I wanted bees

and pollination and everything.

And I thought, well, we'll have honey
