Ah, not a great wildcard week for me, but we do have a guest on who had a spectacular

wildcard weekend.

We will get to him momentarily.

The streets are abuzzin with his appearance.

That's what he told me the other day.

First, the staples of the show from his mom's Cork Attic in Pittsburgh, PA. Todd Wischnev, everybody. How you doing, Toddy? I'm doing terrible, Gilly. last week when I saw you I was coming off a 13 and 4 college basketball night,

up 47 units on the year. And now I've just donked away about 21 units in the last week on

just bad beat after bad beat. So I'm in a real bad mood today. Oh, that's fun. That explains,

you know, we were just talking off air about how I had my numbers in tennis. I was talking about this on a numbers game this morning. Had seven dogs over the last two nights that actually ended up getting home that my numbers told me I should have bet on. I didn't bet on any of them. Not a one of them. By the way, this also will not be relevant to this podcast for people listening, but this Warriors

news is pretty amazing. This assistant coach had some kind of cardiac arrest. I don't know if

that's the correct term, some sort of medical event. Let's put it that way. Warriors Jazz postponed

tonight if you're listening to this on Wednesday. Will Hill is our other staple. He comes to us

from parts unknown. We're in Connecticut? Will, is that where you live? New York? Where do you live? For God's sakes. I am in Connecticut. You know, it's funny. We were, I was on a numbers game earlier, and between breaks, we were doing the Tony Romo voice. And after the spot, my wife goes, what was going on in there? What were you yelling about?

We were talking about Tony Romo as a broadcaster, has gone from this sensation to just absolute succitude over the course of his color career. It's fascinating how that's happened. But you have the best theory of all, Will, which is he's just farther away from the game where he can't anticipate what is going to happen on a play-by-play basis. I think that's true. Yeah, when he first started broadcasting, he was pretty fresh from the field.

It wasn't that long ago that he played.

I think he went right from playing to broadcasting. There was no like year off. And he knew all these teams' tendencies, these patterns, and he was able to call out the plays and just point out things that other broadcasters weren't aware of. And then he got a huge contract. so I don't know if the money just made him a little more, I don't know, laxedaisical in his prep or just the time away, but he is certainly not this just elite, clear, far and way best broadcaster that he was when he first started. Yeah, yeah. He sure likes to say Jim, though, doesn't he? And our guests on the show, we always like to take our favorite regular season guests. No knock on anybody else. But put them on the playoffs, and this guy always has a spot in the playoff rotation as he does in all the tennis pods. Drew Dinsick, everybody, Whale underscore Capper, Deep Dysk podcast, which he does with his buddy Andy Molitor. Dinsick Classic, as I like to call it. And then, of course, NBC Sports Bet the Edge.
