Hi, everybody. Good evening. Hey, turning your Bibles to John Chapter 1. If you missed last

calling Practicing the Way. The salient idea is that the invitation of Jesus was to become a Talmudim.

That's a Hebrew word meaning disciple or an even better translation is apprentice. And to be an

apprentice of Jesus is to order your life around three goals. The first goal is to be with Jesus.

The second is to become like Jesus. And the third is to do what he did.

So over the next two weeks, I want to go deeper on each one of these goals and put a little

flesh and bone on each idea.

So this week we'll talk about be with Jesus, next week we'll talk about become like Jesus,

and so on.

Yes? Okay, great. To start things off, John chapter one, let's read from verse 35. The next day, John was there, that's John the baptizer, again with two of his Talmudim or disciples.
