Base has surpassed Solana in daily token introductions launching 54,341 on July 27th, more than double

Solana's 25,460 according to Dune Analytics. Daily launches on the Layer 2 network backed

by Coinbase have skyrocketed from 6,649, driven by the integration of Zora and Farcaster into the rebranded base app.

Zora posts are now instantly minted into ERC20 tokens, each with a $1 billion supply and a uniswap

pool, with creators earning 1% of all trading fees in Zora.

As of August 2nd, Zora powered launches made up 64.6% of all token launches across both base and Solana,

nothing up 39,778 new base tokens that day.

Solana still dominates trading volume via launch pads like Pump.com and Let's Bonk,

but the search positions base as the new frontier for social token experiments.

France is looking into Bitcoin mining, but with a bit of an edge, a group of French

legislators is drafting a law to allow the use of surplus nuclear energy to mine Bitcoin.

The proposal aims to take advantage of surplus electricity generated by nuclear power plants,

with one MP describing it as a secure and

extremely profitable solution. France is the largest producer of nuclear power in the EU,

according to 2023 data from Eurostat. It accounted for 33,000, 202 gigawatt hours or more than

half the 27 nation bloc's total output. However, the draft is still in the early stages

and follows a previously rejected amendment from June that suggested evaluating crypto mining's

contribution to France's energy mix. Midnight is a privacy-enhancing blockchain, introducing vital,

programmable privacy and selective disclosure capabilities. It means DAPS can allow users to control what information is revealed without putting sensitive data on-chain,

allowing you to break free from the limitation of choosing between utility or privacy.
