Bart Millard is the lead singer of the legendary Christian rock band MercyMe. Founded in 1994, the band has released 11 studio albums and had 13 consecutive top-five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Its latest album, “Always Only Jesus,” released in 2022.
Millard’s life was depicted in the 2018 movie “I Can Only Imagine,” in which actor Dennis Quaid starred as his father who struggled with addiction and violence before coming to faith before his death from cancer.
Today on the podcast, Bart Millard discusses his experience seeing the Texas Rangers win the World Series, the rollercoaster of being a Dallas Cowboys fan, and the bond between sports and family. He also talks about his son Sam’s music career and MercyMe’s longevity in the music industry. Bart shares his perspective on balancing touring and making new music, as well as maintaining a relationship with Christ in the midst of a busy schedule.
