Summary

In this episode we bring you the unsolved mystery of missing Barbara McCray, an 83 year old former restaurateur, who vanished without a trace from her home on Dugdown Rd, in Georgia’s rural northwest.

Barbara had recently been diagnosed with dementia and whilst it had begun to affect her memory and ability to get around unaided, she was still fiercely independent. She loved her daily walk on Dugdown Rd, a part of her routine that she kept up right until the day she disappeared.

This episode hears from Barbara’s granddaughter Amy as well as her great niece Mary. Amy and Mary are cousins and have been united in their efforts to find Barabra for over three years now. They talk about the pillar of the local community their grandmother was and remains to this day and their memories of the restaurant she ran for years that served its loyal patrons the best home cooked Southern eating money could buy. Together, Amy and Mary bring us through the events leading up to Barabara’s disappearance, their frustrations with the inexperienced and under-resourced Polk County PD and why they personally don’t believe Barabara’s dementia had anything to do with her disappearance.
