The UN opened another session.

More than 120 leaders heard President Obama's first address to the General Assembly.

The leaders of Russia and China will also take center stage inside and crowds outside

will protest Iran's President Ahmadinejad.

Mr. Obama described his differences from the Bush administration, laid out what he called four pillars of foreign policy.

We'll hear what he said about Iran and North Korea, Middle East peace, and the responsibilities of all nations. We'll hear how they are responding.

Obama told the U.N. today that misperceptions have led to what he called an almost reflexive

anti-Americanism, which he said too often has served as an excuse for collective inaction.

He said all nations must take responsibility for a global response to global challenges.

The time has come to realize that the old habits, the old arguments are irrelevant to the challenges faced by our people.
