Summary

We have received a crazy amount of questions about Paul Maxwell and his “deconversion,” wondering if we are going to address it since he was on the podcast. The truth is, Paul wasn’t just on the podcast, he is our friend. So, today we are addressing the issue of deconversion, and specifically looking at how to deal with it on a relational level. Isn’t deconversion just apostasy? Is there one main reason people wind up leaving the faith? Is it really because of bad theology and superficial youth groups? How should we talk to the deconverted? How should we think of them? We are not getting into Paul’s personal story, or “spilling the tea”—like the kids say. Paul can speak for himself if he wishes. But here you go, a special episode of Banter of Truth for everybody.
