Gold for one, and BHP for another. Where is it? It's in Balochistan. And therefore, I need

Arabs help to understand this. If you're in Pakistan, you're okay. But if you're in Balochistan,

most recently, of this undeveloped circumstance that could very much help the people of Pakistan

and balance the books and reassure the IMF of the loans that it's making to the Sharif government,

now and in future. Where is Rekko dig? And what is the history of it dating back to the late

Hi, John. Thank you for having me on. Rekko dig is a massive gold and copper mine that's

located in Pakistan's Balochistan province. This is an insurgency hit province. It's where the

Afghan Taliban was once based. It's where there are scores of separatist ethnic

nationalist militant organizations that have attacked the Pakistani state. They've attacked

Chinese nationals and Chinese companies that are based in the region. It's also borders of

Afghanistan and Iran. So it's at the crossroads of a very restive region and it's a restive

province of itself for its own domestic reason, for its own drivers. One of those big drivers

has been resource nationalism. Balochistan has provided Pakistan for much of its history as

provided Pakistan with most of its natural gas, which has fueled domestic consumption and
