On today's radio show, which aired on Saturday and will become a podcast on Monday, Tom and I were spending a little time

talking about the horrible investing advice that exists out there. And we were primarily

referring to those who get paid to provide investing advice, like investment advisors and insurance agents and stockbrokers.

But we should have also mentioned the folks who write articles online.

Most of those are truly terrible.

And it's funny, so many of them are written by people who have little or no experience in the financial advice business, who haven't been in it very long or just don't really have any experience.

They're writers, but they're not advice providers. And they don't go out and

try to get the opinions of people in the industry, which makes them, if they don't have the

basic knowledge, it's not very good information. You either should get a source or know what you're

talking about. And I was just doing a little research online, and I bumped into an

article at Investopedia, which is sort of a place for decent information on the basics of investing.

And this was an article that kind of fit right in with the topic. It's called the best and worst

investing advice. And I thought, oh, my gosh, great. I get to read about some bad investing advice.
