We referred to a contributor in a voice memo as Hispanic when she is in fact Latino.

At first I was embarrassed when she messaged me the correction, but I realized it was a learning opportunity for me.

To be Hispanic means you're of Spanish speaking

origin. To me Latino means you're of Latin American origin. In this episode I

talk with two women who have started two very different businesses

with one very important thing in common. They bring women together in the

outdoors. I started developing this episode around the notion of community. the bonds and how important it is for us to take that kind of time.
