I'm Hello and welcome to rock and roll politics, the weekly podcast with me, Steve Richards.

Thank you very much for tuning in as ever. And and as ever we have got a lot to cram in

our time together. We're between the two major party conferences. Labor has ended. Tories

Tories beginning. If you're listening to this at the beginning of the week or at the end of the

weekend, you know what I mean. And so tons to reflect on. And of course, the petrol crisis rumbles on.

Now, a lot of the questions today, and there are some brilliant questions,

relate to Keir Stama and his speech earlier in the week. So there to come. There are some

questions on other topics as well. So we'll come to them fairly soon. Just a reminder that

What has been the mood at the Tory conference? I don't know yet. I haven't got there as I'm

insight sounds so grand. I had a moment of insight, which I want to share with you all

in the podcast. It might be completely nonsensical. But it followed an interview on Conservative

Home with Quasi Quartet and the business secretary.

And it kind of echoes the interviews Boris Johnson has given at the start of the Tory conference,

justifying, in inverted commas, the fuel crisis at the moment.
