between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a key road linking Armenia to the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh

enclave remained blocked for the fourth day. We welcome Brenda Schaefer, the Foundation

for the Defensive Democracies. Most importantly, the author of the new book, Iran is more than

Persia and Iran is a part of this mix because Azerbaijan lives in a very dangerous neighborhood

Russian to the north, Iran to the south, and China to the east. Brenda, a very good evening

to you. The blocking of the road. We're told by civilians to what end? What to start

at this?

Well, to understand this conflict, we have to live just as you said in your introduction

at Russia's policies towards most of its neighbors. I basically liked to incite or

self-edirically involved in a conflict that looks like an ethnic conflict. You see people

from different ethnic groups on two sides of the question, but really just serves Russia's

interests. So the same way that they took to China out of Georgia with the Monsatians,

South Acecia, instigating conflict inside Ukraine, occupying part of Moldova, the same
