I was wondering how negotiations between different armies was practically arranged,

and I don't know if you have discussed about this.

For example, with Caesar in Gaul, he several times had some types of meetings with different

groups, such as the Helveti, before he had even established himself in Gaul.

So how such a meeting might be arranged before and after a battle, for instance?
