That's a lot to unpacking that very short question. Oh yeah it is a lot to unpack. I don't have an answer to you for that particular question.

But we're going to, I think, muddle through this episode as best we can and hope that in two weeks things are very different.

But a lot has happened in these past two weeks, most notably the crash of Pakistan International Airlines

flight 8303 in Karachi. There has been another wave of aircraft retirements as airlines continue to downsize their fleets.

There has been so much happening in the world of aviation as airlines and air framers and everyone tries

to figure out continually what comes next and I don't think anyone's found the answer to that yet so we'll keep

muddling through it. Speaking of muddling through we are going to have on the

program a cast of characters joining us in a little bit and we're just going to talk through

some of the issues facing the aviation industry from some various perspectives,

media enthusiasts and of course folks who work in the industry.

So I think that'll be a rather interesting and eclectic conversation, and I hope everyone gets something good out of that.

But let's start first with the Pakistan International Airlines crash.

That crashed on Friday the day that the last podcast came out.

So the 22nd of May early morning, our time, about midday in Karachi.

The aircraft had flown from Lahore

and was bound for Karachi and conducted one approach and then attempted a go around and crashed during that attempted

The information of the data that we've received from the aircraft was not ADSB. So unfortunately there's no position information included, but we did get a lot of extended modus data from the aircraft.
